Love it or tolerate it, social networking has become a constant in most of our lives. We catch up with friends, meet new people, and network in our respective industries. But what if you had the opportunity to be someone else… say, a Russian Spy. Would you take it?

On June 27, 2010 Anna Chapman -a woman who shares my name- and 9 of her Russian cohorts were found in the US, arrested, and deported back to Russia. On July 2nd my Facebook page became Anna’s portal to the world of social media. Come join me to find out just how my month was spent as the Russian Facebook spy. I want to share my story and talk about this crazy thing we call social media.

Venue Address: 928 Southeast 9th Avenue

RSVP for this event
(RSVPing is helpful to us, but not mandatory.)

The focus of this conversation is on how to become better at following up using social media and other mediums of communication, in order to improve the reciprocity of your communication. Because social media has amped up our ability to communicated through a wide variety of mediums, one of the challenges involves dealing with information overload and how to meaningfully follow-up with people that we are connected to.

My goal is that all of us will contribute ideas on how we can meaningfully follow-up with people in our lives, as well as examine what reciprocity really means in the age of social media.

This discussion is being organized by Taylor Ellwood, who put together last year’s very interesting Social Media Etiquette discussion.
