First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who organized an event and attended the New Communicators series of events last week. This particular round is over, but the conversations shouldn’t end. For many of the events, the discussions were just the beginning and now is the time to continue the conversation.
You can use the individual event pages on this site as a neutral meeting ground and jumping off point for the ideas and interpersonal connections you made during the events. Leave a response on the event page and take ownership of the discussion as you see fit.
Some ways you can engage and continue the conversation:
- Post a question or thought regarding a specific discussion topic as a response on an individual event page. Continue the discussion on this site or elsewhere.
- Write a post or article on your blog or web site and post a link to it as a response on the event page that inspired your thinking. Invite others to join your conversation.
- Organize and promote your own follow-up discussions on event pages.
- Share links to your pictures or video from the events.
When you post a response on an event page, make sure you tell people. Tell a friend. Post it on Facebook. Tweet it with #thenewcom. The most important thing is to not let what inspired you fizzle out and fade away. If you have any other ideas on how to continue the conversation, post them as a response here.
Again, thank you all for your participation, passion and contributions to the New Communicators series of events.

These meet-ups are intended to be casual with plenty of chances for one-on-one, group collaboration and discussion. All you’ll need is curiosity and an open heart.

There has been much discussion around the language used to describe The New Communicators event since we launched this site. We appreciate the feedback from the community and your voices are heard loud and clear. In the spirit of collaboration, how would you describe The New Communicators?
